Specific Bequest: This provides the charity with a specific gift.

Residuary Bequest: The charity receives what remains of the estate after all debts, expenses, and taxes have been paid and all other bequests have been satisfied.
> "I give to The Pennsylvania State University, c/o Office of Gift Planning, University Park, Pennsylvania, __________ percent of the residue of my estate to be used by the University [for its general purposes] OR [for a particular college, campus, or unit within the University] OR [according to a Statement of Donor Intent previously agreed to by the University and me]."
Contingent Bequest: If the original beneficiary is unwilling or unable to accept the bequest, the gift then goes to the contingent beneficiary.
